January - WOLF MOON

FOLKLORE: Named for the most snowfall during the winter season. This moon reminded tribes to be best prepared for the snow and to protect themselves against the harsh elements.

March - WORM MOON
FOLKLORE: Named for the transition from winter to spring when the earthworms began to appear. As the ground softened, tribes prepared for planting...with patience and anticipation.

April - PINK MOON

September - CORN MOON
FOLKLORE: Named for the staple that was a part of every tribe's diet. Harvesting corn was a way to feed the family as well as bond with each other in the process.

October - HUNTER'S MOON
FOLKLORE: Named for the season to begin hunting in preparation for the winter months. The brightness of the moon assisted with hunting late into the day.

November - BEAVER MOON
FOLKLORE: Named for the period when beavers built dams before the ground froze. Otherwise, they would be left without adequate protection.

BLUE MOON
FOLKLORE: Named for the period when a full moon appears twice in one month. This cosmic event typically happens once every two to three years. Now you can better understand the term "once in a blue moon."
BABY STEP: Use this rare energy to create momentous, meaningful and magical manifestations.
SUPER MOON
FOLKLORE: Named for the biggest and brightest moon. It is a time when the moon is closest to the Earth so it appears abnormally large. It sometimes coincides with a Harvest Moon. Super Moons usually occur quarterly every year.
